Copyright II: Publishing and sharing your work In-Person
What are your rights as an author when you publish a work traditionally, via open access or with a Creative Commons license? What version of your journal article are you allowed to upload to your ResearchGate, Academia.edu or UB Institutional Repository profiles? If your article is open access, does that mean you can post it anywhere online? How do you negotiate your author agreement with a publisher so you can share and increase the impact of your work? This workshop will answer these questions and explain how to navigate the tricky intersections of U.S. copyright law and publisher sharing policies.
Audience: Geared toward faculty, but graduate students who are already publishing, or preparing to publish, will find useful information.
