Learn how to use Microsoft PowerPoint to design and deliver presentations for class, teaching, and conferences. By the end of this workshop, you will have learned:

  • Elements of a good presentation
  • How to avoid Death by PowerPoint
  • Using PowerPoint as a container for objects
  • Normal, slide, outline and notes view
  • Print options: Pictures, Handouts, PDF
  • How to insert pictures and shapes
  • How to animating text and shapes
  • The difference between animation and transition
  • How to insert a YouTube or Vimeo movie that plays on both Macs and PCs
  • How to use Presenter Tools
  • Confidence building tips for presenting to an audience

This workshop is intended to bring beginners to intermediate level on the topics covered.
