GIS Day - Mapping with ArcGIS Online and StoryMaps In-Person / Online

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have become indispensable tools across numerous fields, transforming how we analyze spatial data and make informed decisions. This workshop explores the diverse applications of GIS technology across disciplines including public health, urban planning, environmental science, and history.

Participants will discover how to create a map in ArcGIS Online and output it onto StoryMaps, a narrative presentation tool that integrates mapping and media to create compelling stories. Participants interested in following along will need an active ArcGIS license. UB faculty, staff, and students can request a free license through CASet. For more information refer to the GIS Research Guide.
