AI Prompt Engineering: A Primer for Librarians In-Person / Online
This presentation, oriented toward academic librarians at UB, will address the basics of how generative AI works and will articulate fundamental principles to apply when writing text inputs - called prompts - for AI systems, so that you can harness the power of AI for personal and professional advancement as well as negotiate the increasing influence of AI in our society and profession.
- Some experience with a generative AI platform such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini is desirable, but not required.
- No prior knowledge of coding or programming is necessary.
