Introduction to Technical Standards In-Person
What exactly *are* technical standards? What are they used for? How do I search for standards? And why should I care about standards?
In this one hour workshop, we will answer these questions and more! The workshop is pertinent to engineers, especially those working with ASTM and IEEE standards, both of which will be covered in this overview session. Standards impact more than just engineers though, so anyone with an interest in learning about standards is welcome to attend!
Attendees will learn the basics of how standards are created, the main parts of a standard, and how to search for standards we have access to here at UB.
