Intro to Network Analysis In-Person
This library workshop provides an introduction to network analysis - a technique with many applications including the visualization of social networks and the spread of information, diseases, or even internet memes. We will discuss some basic concepts relating to network data and graph theory and explore the free and open-source software tool Gephi, which is commonly used for network and data analysis in a wide variety of disciplines.
Participants should plan to bring a laptop with Gephi pre-installed. All are welcome - no prior experience with network data or network analysis required!
