DESCRIPTION:Election Day is Tuesday\, November 4—are you ready? Getting 
 registered and making a plan to vote are important first steps\, but the 
 process doesn’t end there! Whether you’re voting for the first time\, 
 need a refresher on the procedures\, or have specific questions\, the UB 
 Libraries will be hosting a workshop to help you prepare.\n\nJoin us for 
 snacks\, games and helpful tips & tricks!\n\nWe’ll cover:\n\n- Previewing 
 your ballot\n\n- Relevant terminology and vocabulary for voting\n\n- 
 Researching issues and candidates\, including how to avoid mis- and 
 disinformation\n\n- Finding your polling place\n\n- What to expect on 
 Election Day\n\n- Resources to understand your rights as a voter\n\n 
 \n\nThis workshop is held in partnership with the UB Votes Committee\, a 
 non-partisan\, campus-wide effort charged with increasing voter 
 registration and engagement among UB community members in national\, 
 state-wide\, local\, and campus elections through direct voter contact 
 strategies. The workshop is focused on voter education and will not include 
 any discussion of political views\, partisan issues or specific candidates.
